I’m petty sure you missed this one: GHG (Green House Gas) emissions were down 10% from 2005 to 2012 according to the most recent US EPA country wide inventory. It means the US is moving toward a low carbon economy, slowly, but for sure! Look at this graph: the two main sources of GHG emissions will still be in 2020: building energy use and on-road vehicules. The two areas NRGwise is offering consulting services and energy audits. The future looks, well, promising.
